One day Bakul was moving from one village to another. He got tired, as he was walking since long. The village, which he was heading to, was far. While passing through one of the village, he saw a King. The king was riding on a beautiful horse. He stopped at a temple and tied his horse to a tree.
After some time Bakul was passing by the same temple, he saw that the horse was tied to a tree and the King went inside the Temple to offer his worship to the GOD. At the same time a horse dealer, stopped near the house. He saw the horse and as Bakul was standing near the horse, so the horse dealer asked him that “how much money he would take to sell the horse?”
Bakul was puzzled and was shocked by the offer of the horse dealer. After thinking for some time, Bakul told the horse dealer that he would sell the horse for 10000rs. The horse dealer agreed to the amount and finalized the deal. The horse dealer took away the horse and went ahead.
After some time the King came back from the temple. The king asked Bakul that, “Where is his horse, which he tied before going inside the temple” Bakul, said that, “He is only his horse. He was cursed in the last birth by a rishi for his sins. So he turned into a horse. The Rishi said that when a king would take you to the temple you will become human again. Hence, now I turned as human. ”
The King agreed with Bakul and went ahead on his path. While passing to a village, he saw his horse was tied on a stable for sell. He went to the horse and asked the horse, “Bakul, now what sin did you do, that you again turned into horse?”
The King purchased the horse, “his own horse” from the dealer and went on his path.
Bakul was in love with a girl. The girl got married to someone else. Bakul turned to “Devdas”. He stopped maintaining himself. He turned ugly and lost his charm. He stopped living his life in depression. The family members were worried about him. Many people tried to explained him and take him out of his depression, but it was in vain.
Bakul’s sister was too much worried about her brother. One day her friend came to their house. She including all family members were very well aware of the story of Bakul.
The friend of Bakul`s sister was in sorrow to see the situation of Bakul. She felt pity for him. So she proactively told Bakul’s sister that she want to marry her brother. She thought that she will help him to come out of his grieve. The sister had a word with Bakul and told him the proposal given by her friend.
Bakul was very happy after hearing the offer. So he immediately accepted the offer. His sister asked him to go to a Saloon and turn himself into a gentleman. He should maintain himself, so that he will look good. So Bakul went to a barber shop and asked him, “Did you ever do barbering of a donkey?” The Barber said “no I have not done yet, please be seated, and will do it today for the first time.”
